About us

The law firm “Lipari Garcia & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados SPRL” was officialy incorporated in January 1997, it previously adopted the designations “Lipari Garcia, Pereira Reis & Associados” and “Lipari Garcia, Teresa Godinho & Associados”.

The origins of the Society, however, date back from much earlier, from the structures established and developed by its founding partner Dr. António José Lipari Garcia, registered with the Portuguese Bar Association since October 13, 1949.

As a recognition of the founding partners practice, he was awarded honorary titles such as the rank of Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. He was also awarded the Medal of the Bar Association for fifty years of law practice.

The incorporation of the law firm reflects the natural evolution of the founding partner’s activity, following the general trend of sole practitioners incorporating into law firms in order to optimize their resources.

The Law Firm is thus a repository of experience and knowledge accumulated in more than six decades of successful law practice, making it a sound and reliable firm.

The current structure and size of the Firm are the most suitable to provide a personalized, fast and efficient service and not are only the result of decades of practice, but also of a concern in not growing without jeopardizing the personalized service it wants to provide to each client.

The firm always had a tradition of business with foreign entities, either public or private, with a special focus on the Italian community.

This international tradition of the firm naturally grew into a practice of legal services to foreign companies and private citizens that needed support in their internationalization to Portugal, as well as to Portuguese companies and private citizens.

Lipari Garcia & Associados is a genuine Boutique Law Firm with a network of specialists who provide a true integrated service to all its clients. The Society has as working languages, also, English, Italian, French and Spanish.
